Man, tough call. Before I decided on the soon-to-be cam swap, I was very close to an ECS Novi 2000 S/C kit. It was just more money than I wanted to spend. What I am looking forward to is the new attitude my car will have with the bigger cam

I'd go with the SC right now, run low boost and add the other things as you go later, such as a cam kit, etc.

All that other stuff is cheaper bought in pieces over time.

You made the right choice man. Straight engine and 600 ponies... Very shagadelic baby!!! You'll have all the local WM's eating outta the palm of your hand...problem is, is that most of the WM's I remember wouldn't fit into a vette...

I would go with the power adder (sc or turbo) mainly because of the 'fun' factor

If I were to do it all over, I would have just put a blower on mine and done other things later.

Well the way that I looked at it is the fact that I will still have most of the stuff that I wanted to go with the blower any way... so I will be making more power when I get it eventually

Except for that cam is terrible for boost and if the heads are milled any then the compression will be even HIGHER. You will have to change a lot of the major components if you plan on any boost.

FWIW: I did the cam thing for a couple months. Couldn't stand the cam surging, rough/shaky idle, etc. Don't get me wrong, it soudned BURLY. However I ripped it out and I am almost done with the A and A Vortech kit set-up I bought 2 weeks ago.

Hope you have fun with whatever you do.

I agree if you want to go with a blower later you are going to have to uninstall the HC you are getting done right now, or you will have some horribly mismatched parts. I would have gone with the blower now, if that's what you ultimately wanted and put any other money in a fund towards a forged bottom end. Not sure why you would still want to go with a SC after running your new combo with the nitrous shot.

the supercharger went out the window with the purchase of the hc and other parts and what I meant about the parts to keep is all of the other bolt ons.... lt's, x with hi flows, ls6 manifold, ported oil pump, ls2 timing chain, borla stingers, textralia clutch, 390's, and the racetronix pump kit with 42# injectors.... thats about all you'll ever buy for simple boltons IMHO
