Stuck In 4th gear...

Stuck In 4th gear... Ok, so its stuck in 4th. I was on the highway and it just decided not to go in any other gear. I wasn't racing or getting on it, it just decided, "oh, no more fourth for me" So it went in 4th, wouldn't go in any other gear. (its a 2002) Good thing is i made it to the house in 4th. And i have a feeling, thats about the only good thing.
The transmission has hollow pins in it that get bent, and the tranny will get stuck in gear. Usually if you spend some time trying to get it out of gear, it will free up. A performance rebuild will include solid pins, which will eliminate the problem you are having. Bob
