98 corvette + sts single kit? alright i sold the ws6 and bought a corvette. i want a sts kit but dont want to spend the money for a TT kit...now can i buy a used sts kit from and f body and put it on my vette? what kind of exhaust modifications will be in store? will the piping from the turbo to the intake manifold run fairly close to a fit or would it be a complete wait of time to try it? by the way its a 98 vette...please i need some answers...ohh yeah has anyone seen it done before??
the pipes are gonna be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy off, if you cannot afford an sts kit, you probably cant afford the driveline parts or engine parts you will break w/that much power...

its not that i cannot afford one, if i can afford a corvette with all the corvette tax BS i can afford a kit, the fact of the matter is that if there is a way around it i will do it, the more money i save the more money i can put into the motor let alone everything else that will break...all i hear is that FI is expensive, its plainly obvious. i just figured i would ask thats it...i looked for an answer, not that junk about me not being able to afford a kit.

pretty sure you cannot use a fbody kit.
1 all the piping is wrong on routing.
2 they just came out with sts kits for vettes in the last year or so. if it was just easy to move them over it wouldnt have taken them so long to get a vette kit.
3 i have not been impressed so far by there kits. my opion only.

People tell you that its expensive because its not just the kit you have to buy. You have to figure in a tune, fuel system, rear end, transmission,tires, forged motor pretty much a whole new car. If you can afford it thats great, but dont think your going to get away with buying a kit only.

If you want to save $$$, the corvette has other outstanding FI options available. There are plenty of people making 700+ rwhp/rwtq with the A&A or ECS supercharger kits.
Does your 'vette have an M6 or A4? If you have an a4 the magnacharger is a good option. Power output is not as high, but who cares about dyno racing. Maggie a4 cars with under 500rwhp can run in the tens easily with a decent torque converter/rear gear setup.
