Default Typical A4 C5 Vert 1/4 mi times.

Tried a couple sites/searches came up empty handed.

What is typical for a 2002 A4 3.15 C5 vert. Bone stock in the 1/4mi.

They run just like a A4 F-body, mid 13's@103ish?

You don't have your slip do you? That is awsome.

People are bashing me because I bought a a4 vert.

Have you had yours dyno'ed yet?

Which slip? The car has never been on a dyno. Just the strip.

Stock, and the 12's runs.

Any would do.

My goal with the car is to beat the T/A time in my sig.

Thanks.

I guess we will be the only two on the board that has run their a4 vette vert at the track.

I will try to find some for you. I should have mentioned that on the low 12s runs the car also has headers (Kooks). the 12.6 run was with stock exhaust (Z06 cat back) and stock TC. I will have to email you the runs because I don't know how to post them.

Wow, I hope I can do what you guys are doing. Screw the M6.

I was really disappointed it was an auto, but you guys got me all excited.

Makes what I paid for this vette even better.

Sad to say I have never taken an auto to the track. How do you go about launching it, just hold the brake with left foot? Modulate gas, then let off?

I know I'm dumb. I havn't had a auto car since I was 17.

Thats about it. You can try different RPMs to launch from. I get my best results just off of idle, about 800 RPM. Every car is different so try a few and see what gives you your best times. A good set of tires will make a big difference in your et. Also you should get a good intake. At least take the lid off and " tie wrap" the air filter to the base.Thats the first and best mod you should make. Good luck. I'm sure you can run low 13s' with a little practice.

I ran a 13.4 with 302 at the wheels bone stock. If you like the A4, do not get too power hungy. It will not last long in the upper 3's and 400+ hp range.

I could't agree more. I had well over 100 runs on my stock Trans. with no problems. But now that I am going to do a H/C swap, the first thing I did was put in a RPM level 4 trans. How do you like your cam? Do you still have good driveability with it? At what rpm is your idle set and does it have much lope to it? Are you running a 114 lsa?

Thanks

Yankee Vert, the TR224 is the smallest cam I would start with, it is great daily driver cam. It is a 114 LSA, it idles at around 900(it actually idled well at 650(according to the tach) but that was when it was flashed before the tune). It does have a noticeable lope, but if you like lope, you want to go bigger. You should check out some of the cam threads in the LS1 internal engine section, especially those by or including Patrick G. Many of the old myths such as A4's needing the larger LSA's, etc... are being dispelled. You might wind up getting a custom grind that is better suited to your combo as opposed to a generic cam. I choose the TR224 because at that time it was "the cam" to use, if I have to go through the top end of my motor, the cam will definitely get upgraded.

Racerrob, what set up are you running to make all that power and put it to the ground?

Thanks for the info.I have been on the LS1 internal engine section a lot lately.Lots of cams lots of recommendations. I don't want a lot of lope and it looks like the 224/.581 cam is about as big as I can go.I was told that at 900 RPM the lope was not noticable inside the car.Since you have a C5 like me I am very interested in your opinion.

A friend of mine brought a 99 C5 vert to the track one day, it was his boss's car (the boss knew he was going there) and that car ran 13.3s at 105 all day long. It was a 2.73 A4 car too! The weather was pretty good though, about 60 degrees, low humidity, DA was probably close to 1000ft.
