intake and exhaust choice Ok, my dad is finally getting more serious about fixing a bunch of things on his C5. I think just around the corner he will consider some basic mods. Keep in mind, this is his daily driver, so anything than can't be done on 1 saturday is out of the question.
What are your suggestions for a cold air intake?
What are you suggestions for new mufflers? For mufflers, he like the sound of the Corsa (not the Corsa Indy). He likes that kind of sound. What he doesn't like: resonation on the inside, raspy, snappy, or poppy sounds, and he doesn't like the Borla.
Feel free to post up as many suggestions, just please include links and prices if possible.
Oh, if you have any other mod suggestions (that go with the guidelines at the top) I'd appreciate it.

as far as intake go halltech, blackwing, and the vararam are the most popular and they are about the same in performace wise. for exhaust he should just go to car shows and listen to vettes to see what one he likes. corsa makes a great system same with b&b.

I personally think a Callaway Honker and Borla Stingers make a nice combo. I got my Callaway from Corvettes of Houston. As far as exhaust goes, this link might help him pick one out.

If the corsa indy exhast is too loud then take a look at the touring system by corsa. A stock Z06 exhast is also worth looking at. The only other exhast I have heard of that does not have resonance is the GHL magnums but they will have a deeper rumble like borla. Smog might rule out long tube headers but there are smog legal shorties. In my opinion intakes are all about the same, they will all be within 5 hp of each other. Pick the one you like the looks of. A couple off the top of my head are halltech, vararam, granatelli and blackwing.

Magna flow and Corsa both make some great system and I have used both. I also think MJD has a good point check out stock Z06 setups you can pick them up cheap on Ebay. Also as far as CAI we have played with them all check out the Raptor XXL best price and gains on the market.

personally ive heard a lot of great things about the Raptor XXL cold air intake, both with the installation and hp gains. my B&B mufflers are quiet inside the car without rasp and still sound great outside the car and at WOT
