Hey man don't take this the wrong way. The internet makes s*** sound f***** sometimes. Your times are sick and I am getting another engine this week and can only hope I can get the most out of my car like you are. With a 427 should you not be getting more power and tourque then you are. I am asking cause i see some guys with 402's making what you are and alittle more. I don't think they are driving the s*** outta their cars like you are though. I am just curious cause of the setup i am putting together i am hoping to run close to what you are getting at with some suspension mods of course.

Forget the dyno numbers, he's running over 128 in the 1/4. Thats hauling major ***, and takes ALOT of power to do so. My buddies car has shown 560rwhp, and he runs 130 on motor, so the power is there.

I know that. I understand what he's doing. My point is what if he had the power i've seen some 427's make. In the 570+ range. The guy has his car on point. Read my post i praised the car i thought also his driving has to be crazy good. I was questioning the numbers as a what if senario. I know it wouldn't be that much more 40 horse or so and maybe another 20 30 on tq. But if he's pullin those numbers with 530/510. Wow! I mean hell the way it is Fu***** sick. But we are talking about drag racing the inevitable quest for more and more. Thats all. I knew it would get takin wrong. I would love to have what he's got. I would also love to see what he could do with just alittle more too.

I dunno man....there are soo many different variables when it comes to output numbers....it's crazy. Therefore, "I" don't get too deep into them. Cars that are only ALL motor, i've seen people try and get the absoulte ALL that they can outta a motor. Some don't go all out on the motor, because they know they are gonna have spray, or another power adder there, when they need to. Extra ponies, are always only a tune away..IE: timing/fuel maps...etc etc. Obviously an all motor car will be tweaked more then, lets say a nitrous motor.

My cousins Z07 427 that laid down 560rwhp, did that with the STOCK WATER PUMP,....and UN ported FAST intake. Do those couple of things on the BIG cubed motor.....and, well, you can guess what will happen.

Hey munchum...what kinda of tire where you on to go 11.40 and your 10:60?

I'm still learning what the car likes best. The night of the 10.60 pass i was on a borrowed set of ccw's with 28/10.5 Hoosiers i only used them for that night. I picked up a set of ccw's with 26 11.5 et streets last night and went to the track 1st pass was a 1.71 60 for an 11.6 @ 119. Second pass was a 1.61 60 ft. for an 11.45 @ 121. weather was crappy too. 3rd pass i tried to spray it and i am havin some tranny issues and it wouldnt take second gear. I ran it out the back for a 11.7 @ 131 crap. that was my last pass for the night. with some more practice she should pick up some more with consistent low 60's. My best pass on the NITTO 555 was a 1.70 60 ft. but for a 10.62 @ 119-120

I agree with that. Thats what i guess i was tryin to figure was how he had it set up. If he was gonna tune it up or if he was gonna spray it later or just keep driving the crap out of it like he is. Either way i'd love to see him run. That car is badass and is on point for sure

Cool deal.

yeah, I just talked to him today, a little about the car. Talks of a better flowing intake manifold(sheetmetal), water pump, and some other gadgets should make it a little quicker for the motor nights.

Speaking of him,...I also talked to him a few minutes ago,...he said he had a run in with a CAM'd trans am, ws6, with spray on the street. From a mild roll.....he put lengths on the car. When the TA caught up with him.....the kid asked if the car made 700hp? My cousin was on motor......so, not really but...he just laughed and said yeah.

5 minutes later, he was ducking into a store, to dodge the cops that must have seen the same thing happen.

It's a shame we don't have more spots on the street where we can actually utalize our cars,...to what they are capable of. This z06 of my cousins,...is like a baby shark, trying to swin in a ZIPLOCK bag.

Not fun.

My car has trap a best of 131mph with 101 in the 1/8 in 95 degree weather, my best pass was the 10.55@128.8 letting off at the 1000' foot mark in the 1/8 mile I was trapping 106 this was in 75 degree weather. I am hoping to hit the track this weekend with my new clutch, hoping not to break anything. I will be hoping for 10.2-10.4 @ 135 mph.
Matt
PS: my power is low because of many reasons I have ls1 heads, I also have my rings gapped for a 300 shot. I also have 10to1 compression not 11to1 like most, with 24 degrees of timing.

I just wished they didn't call it a Z07. It reminds me of the guy in his Mustang GT who put a GTR badge on the car and said it was a rotary...

Maybe a MTI Z06 just not a Z07...

After driving the car(Z07)...you could call it the tootie frutie...and it wouldn't matter.

Funny.

Though I mean honestly though for a respectable shop like that to do that, it reminds me of the Mecham guys with there over the top name Z29-R package for the Camaro. I mean guys its a spoiler and a hood WTF.

Yeah....but...it isn't that extreme(i don't think)....the Z07...obviously one number higher then Z06...as in a step above.......as in 7 liter.......I dunno man..it isn't too bad.

To each his own. Nce thing about it....the emblems are optional.
