Also considering an upgrade from TA to C5 Is it worth it?
I LOVE my Trans Am. It's fast and fun. But here's the one thing about it. I only have one car and it's my daily driver and sometimes it just beats the crap out of me driving it around the city streets.
Like most American cars, the build quality sucks, and comparing it to most cars, sometimes it feels like i'm driving a bucket of (loose) bolts.
Is the C5 better? I don't want to invest in a C6 simply because it will be my daily driver, so I'm gunning for a C5 coupe/conv with 50k miles around $20k. I'll probably skimp out on the Z06 and drop a few hundred on mods to match it.
Is the upgrade worth it? The C5 is only marginally faster. But how does it compare to the f-body in terms of overall ride quality/comfort/build (i don't care for road/engine noise)?
And another thing, the only other car I have been considering is the BMW M3 smg... Anyone have experience with those?

I just went from a Z28 to a C5.
I miss my Z but the C5 is hands down a better car. It's tighter, handles better, more comfortable, the build quality is way better and in the end the car will retain more resale value than the Fbody.
I'm very happy I made the switch however I will probably pick up another fbody down the road.
