side moldings question plz help

Nope, you should be fine. No black paint. Just take them off properly( I assume you already know how) and then, wax the car, especially that area, cuase they're may be some lines from the years of being on the car, collecting water/dirt/debri etc.
Should be fine. Thats the way it' been on ALL corvettes that I have ran into.

It should not be anything other than some left over adhesive (use Goof off or similar) and maybe some dirt. The BSMs are put on after the entire car is painted and cleared. The typical procedure for removal is a hair dryer on hot and fishing line pulled between the door and the BSM. Good luck.
Oh ok one more question sorry....now my car has been repainted black does that affect anything on taking theem off? I've been told that if I take the moldings off there will be lines on there marked from the tyme it was repainted and the lines won't come off? True?
If the car was painted with the side moldings on there will be a paint line around the edges if you take them off. Look real close and if it was painted with the moldings on you should be able to see evidence of a paint line or paint on the tape that holds the moldings on. If you can't tell take it to a body shop and ask them to look at for you.
