Default Expert Opinion 80mm TB

Do you guys think there is any gain from going from stock TB/LS6 intake to a 80mm BBK TB on a forced induction car? I know on NA cars a ported TB or BBK is work 5rwhp...but on a blown car im not sure...something tells me yes...

I posted the same question a really long time back. Nobody gave good advice on real numbers. Just a bunch of hooplah and links to searchs that didn't have to do with anything other than more hooplah.

It doesn't seem worth it though since ported anything (even heads) doesn't make great gains on a FI car compared to other gains you could get by working with your FI system/hardening your internals/rear to take the power.

I have to agree with Genesis. Why not just get yourself a 90/90 combo and call it a day?

One example I found was on Kenne Bell's web site. The ls2 90mm was worth about 30 rwhp over the stock TB. This was with their blower.
