Air Intake Q, for Noobe First off love the site, new to LS1 performance, have limited knowledge but this site has great info. have been doing alot of reading
Ok have been searching info at the Raptor XXL intake for my pops 98 LS1 crovette, for the money it looks like the best.
"Z06shop" are the only one that I have found that sells it. On the Z06shop's ebay store said it was desined for the 2001-2004/Z06 vettes. I do know that the 01 vettes have the LS6 intake manifold.
so my question is this:
1. Will the raptor xxl fit on the 98?
2. With the diffrent intake manifolds, would I need to go with the LS6 manifold to get peak performance out of the Raptor XXL?
3. Or will it give me a decent bang for the buck on the LS1 mani?

Do a search on corvetteforum.com for cold air intake (CAI). This topic has been beaten to death there.
I have the Callaway Honker which is one of the best on the market. Twice as much as the one you are looking at ($499) but seems to be a better design than what I see on the link you provided.
Upgrading to a LS6 manifold would be ideal if you are adding a CAI. You can pick them up used for about $350.
