Heads or Cam on C6
Heads or Cam on C6 I have a 2005 corvette A4 with pro lg longtubes and a vararam intake. I was looking at either doin a set of Afr 225's or a T-rex cam from Thunder racing. My question is were would i gain more the heads or the cam...What would be the horsepower difference. Thanks in advance
I'd never put a monster cam (TREX) in a smooth car like a c6.
Maybe a cam no higher than 228 duration would give you a nice bump in power (30hp)... you already have nice heads (LS6) from the factory on that '05 LS2
If you get into the 230 duration your car will lose the personality that makes it such a pleasure to drive right now.
Been there, done that with the huge cams/forced induction thing, if (when) I get my C6 it's gonna be a small cam if that, maybe a Magnacharger (if funds allow)
