soon to replace drivetrain I am trying to find some sort of a turorial on how to replace my drivetrain on my 01 zo6. I am soon to be installing a new motor and a built transmission and rear end on the car with my mechanic but I would like to know if there are any how to's around I would be able to use as a guide when doing the swap.

The pics are very helpful, but do you have to drop the whole drivetrain from the bottom of the car. Is it possible to still take the motor out of the top and drop the trans torque tube and rear differential separate. Basically I am wondering if it is difficult to remove and reinstall the driveline especially the torque tube.

Have taken the engine out twice in mine from the front and once in a buddies. TAKE OFF THE NOSE doesnt add much time but gives you lots better access.
Taking out the drivetrain from the rear is not that difficult. just watch for all the connectors, i separate the brake lines up top above the differential . if you take out the drivetrain with the engine in place , the engine will tip back quite a bit so its a good idea to support it so that it doesnt' hit the firewall. Have done it in one piece with torque tube and rear subframe, but have seen it done at the track with each assembly separate, it seemed easier to do that way . am going to try it next time that way .
