need some advice.......... im asking this for my buddy, its not my car. Its a 2001 ZO6, and so far he has Veraram intake, Longtube headers w/ cats to X-pipe and out the back w/ Borlas Stingers, and a cam around 222/224 .576/.581 114. and obviously he has the LS6 heads that come stock. what he wants to know is how much will his LS6 intake be holding him back......as compared to if he were to go FAST 90/90, i told him that it would only be worth it if he had the intake ported as well, what do you say. what kind of gains could he expect from this over his LS6 intake/stock TB? (and prob. ported by Ron or Tony Mamo) perhaps he sould just get a pulley and call it a day? please help

The Fast setup is nice but with just that size cam and exhaust, the gains would be negligable if not much. The fast is for big cams with a set of good heads. Being with just those mods and him not doing anything else to the motor I would say go with the LS2 intake and LS2 TB. the Ls6 is not holding him that much at all, but a LS2 setup will help it without spending the type of money a Fast setup costs.

I was making 452 rwhp with my stock ls6 TB ported and stock intake. I only when with the Fast 90 after I stroked the engine. I do not think with that small of a cam and ls6 heads he will have any issues. On my H/C setup I was running Dart 205 heads with a F14 232 234 cam.
