LG G5X3 cam...
LG G5X3 cam... I'm thinking about my next mod being a cam swap. Is this particular cam a good choice for a daily driver? How much Hp can be expected with just the cam? And how are the street manners with this cam? 
My car is an f-body, but I run a G5X3 on a 114. With stock heads my car made 405rwhp/375rwtq after tuning (ASP pulley, Kooks 1 7/8" longtubes, Magnaflow catback, LS6 intake w/ported stock TB).
I have seen anywhere from 400rwhp to 450rwhp with this cam. The 450rw cars are usually the Z06's with LS6 heads and FAST 90's.
The cam definitely lopes...but the driveability is quite good with a good tune
Add some ported heads and a FAST 90 and you'll see 470-495rwhp!

LG Motorsports makes some killer cams and when paired up with the LG Pro Longtube headers you have an unleashed Monster to deal with. I too had a g5x3 cam and loved it. The tune was on, and occasionally I had to put up with some surging but that usually only happened when I had the A/C on full blast and sitting at a light after being on it. Drives very nice in traffic, excellent (flawless) at highway speeds. I've been as low as 50 mph and still in 6th gear and the car didn't stall just slowly accelerated when I gave it some gas. I was trying to see if the car would stall but she just crept along effortlessly. Won't have to flycutt with stock heads. Should upgrade to a cometic .040 gasket and enjoy your new cam and slight increase in compression. Good luck.

As with pretty much all "big" cams there is slight bit of low end tq loss, but not enough to notice. To me the g5x3 cam felt as strong on the bottom end as the stock cam did, but once you get near 3000 rpms the surge begins, and from 4000 on Hp/Tq is building at what feels like an exponential rate.
