I was wondering if all the ls based vettes have the same accessory setup. are all the parts the same? I know the blocks are all the same.

Thanks,
Eric

Short answer no. Even though there are a lot of parts that are used in Coupe, FRC, and ZO6 models, there are numerous parts that are different between them. Parts even changed a bit between years on the same model type.

Interesting. I didn’t know that. What changed over the years? Different tensioners? Different pulleys ?

Looks like there is a disconnect. I believe the engine accessories are the same across all years...I think ls1290 is referring to general accessories (dash, shifter, panels, etc.).

Not really. For example alternators; there are ones for 97-00, 01+, manual, and automatic.

^Good point. I know there are various differences on the auto/manual, but did not know they changed alternators. I also thought A/C compressors and pulleys were the same all years.

Thanks for the clarification, Keith!

can someone post pictures of the accessory setup on the two different setups. I know the alt will be diff on manual or auto but only in amperage right? correct me if i'm wrong. Really to tell you the truth I just want to know if the vette accessories will clear the hood in my third gen camaro and will the ac compressor clear the k-member so I won't have to notch it....
Thanks,
Eric
