Question on lowering a 01 Z06
Question on lowering a 01 Z06 I did a search and I couldnt find anything on how to lower a 01 Z06. I see how people say they lower them on "stock bolts" or "aftermarket bolts". What exactly does that mean? Is there a website with instructions on how to do it with pics? How long does it take? Also, I see cars that have aftermarket bolts look alot more slammed than ones on stock bolts. Where can I find aftermarket bolts? Any and all info would be great.

Go to http://forums.corvetteforum.com/index.php scroll down to the C5 section and do a search for lowering a c5.
That explains how to do it with stock bolts. What do people mean when they lower them on aftermarket bolts? Where do I get them? Also is there any difference in installation with aftermarket bolts?
you can cut the bushing in half and it will drop it like the after market bolts.
for a lot less money and trouble.
I got a sazall? and cut the bushing while they were still on the car it only
took about 30 minutes, all i had to do is take off the tire. Had to use a jack stand or 2 and hydralic jack on the leaf spring to raise it a little to cut the bushing. I only cut the rear bushing's. went with wider tires on the rear , was not thinking about about the profile size so it left a ugly gap between the tire and fender.

It goes without say that the car should be aligned after it's been lowered. I lowered mine right at the end of last year and didn't get it aligned until just now, I never realized what a huge difference having correct/more aggressive alignment on the car made.
