I have heard the quality of the VaraRam is not that great. The corvette forum guys all say the Honker is the best.

No complaints on mine. It was a PITA to install, but worth it.

It does look kind of cheezy but it works. You can't see it on the car anyways so it's all good.

I've had the MTI true ram air on my '03 Z06 for three years now...no problems with it at all.

I love to go fast (above 100 mph) and in my opinion it felt like it was really making a difference above 100 mph. When the car was bone stock it felt fast, but after adding the Vararam CAI to it I noticed a major difference up top. Then with all the upgrades (h/c/i/bolton) it really enhanced the cars ability to breath enough up top. She breaths so well that I can bury the speedometer. (Probably more so because of the h/c and LG Motorsports tuning)

I have the MTI ramair setup on my 01 Z06. Didn't really notice any real gains with it at the track--similar weather, short times, etc.

I'd probably save my money and get a blower. No CAI needed :-).

Maybe you should try the VaraRam. I know for a fact that it works. When I used to goof around on the street and my car was stock I used to get whooped by my buddies lightly modded camaro. After the VaraRam was added I was only losing by 1-2 cars VS 3-4 cars. We used to run from 70-140 and 70 to a 100 he pulled me, but from 100-140 I was pulling him back in pretty good.

I'd be happy to try anything you'd like to send me!

I just don't have the scratch to blow on another CAI system. At 3-500 a pop, one was enough for me .
