69 stingray big block..... I am looking at a fully restored 1969 Stingray with a rebuilt 427 (390hp) that has a cam & aftermaket pistons, etc. It has the factory sidepipes as well. It is Red with Tan leather and has after market rims and new tires. Too many items to list. This is my dream car, but it doesn't have an A/C. 
According to the guy who restored it, the 69s with big blocks didn't have an A/C as an option? I could add one, but don't know what that would cost. Any suggestions? I know this section is for newer vettes, but thought I would ask. I could always take the t-tops off and the back window comes out as well.
I really want this car, but the A/C issue is making me have second thoughts. I could have sworn that only the L88 with a solid lifter cam excluded the A/C because the belt kept coming off at high rpms.
Anyone with knowledge of the older vettes please chime in.

Re: 69 stingray big block..... Dean, Vintage Air (in San Antonio) probably makes a readily available bolt-in kit for that car. The entire kit for these old cars is typically about a grand and you install it yourself. If they don't have a bolt-in kit, they can custom piece one together for any application.

I'm so excited, I 've always wanted another 1969 Stingray since I sold mine in 1984. Now I will let my wife have the new vette next year when my car is paid for. I'll have the old one and she will have the new one. Hmmmmm...this could be fun.
By the way Tony, how's your 69 Camaro coming along?
