'03 Vette Turbo kits Does anyone know of a single rear mounted turbo system for a 2003 Corvette? I've looked at STS, but they only offer a twin set-up for more than twice the price of an F-body LS1 kit (twin for twice the price...hmmm...maybe that makes sense). Anyway, car is stock, looking for a little extra boost (pun intended) for 475-500hp, but don't want to affect driveability. Also car is an automatic, how much hp will a stock trans take (on average) before it gives up the ghost. I posted in the FI section as well. Thanks for the help.
A4s can run the gambit. Most will head to heaven around 400rwhp. There are a lucky few like my wife who is running near 600 rwhp on the spray and still on a relatively stock A4 in a heavier F-Body. She takes care of her tranny though, and we have a built one ready to go in when the stocker dies.
I would suggest a shift kit, good cooler, and a TC with good tranny tuning if you want to run a turbo.

All of your main options(TTi, APS, STS) are twin turbos. Look on Corvette forum forsale section sometimes used units come up for sale. Blowers are somewhat cheaper but after adding headers and stuff the total cost is almost the same.
