Borla straight Pipes?

Nope the Borla straight pipes im talking about are just that! They bolt on to the stock exhaust and only delete the mufflers. the rest of the exhaust that goes to the headers remain stock including the stock resonator. Not like it really matters IMO...still gonna be loud as f@*k

I have the Borla X-R1 on my car through Kooks long tubes. I've had several ZO6 owners tell me the car sounds really nice especially at 75mph. Yes, some folks might say it drones at times, and yes it does pop like a C5R when down shifting and no gas BUt, the car talks to me and I like what it tells me especially about the other cars on the road. Too loud, no such thing. Next mod removal of the cats, then H/C.

I've watched TT C5's run 9's through a stock Z06 exhaust on pump gas, so if quiet and fast is your goal it can definitely be accomplished.
borla makes a set up like like the SLP LM
it is loud but its very free flowing and is 50lbs lighter then a stock C5 mufflers
I personally think they sound great, has alittle rasp but not too bad unless you run headers

I would like to add this to what I've already stated. I have been trying to figure this out ever since people have been asking me about it. Yes the system is loud, but not raspy, and that's because of the Borla resonator has an X-pipe inside of it. There is a big difference in the sound of my car and say another C5 with headers and straight pipes. The resonator makes a more mellow sound gets rid of what some people call the "raspy" sound. Sound levels are subjective. But for me LTs with straight pipes sound like they are looking for a fight with someone. The XR-1 sounds like it is the kind of system that just kicks some body's *** and when they wake up they say to themselves what the hell did I just do.
