I just completed a Mac mini install into my Corvette. The process along with pictures and video is documented at:

Check it out.

Thats pretty cool. What made you choose a mac over any other type of computer?

I had been considering doing something like that, myself...but I'd build a micro-ITX Windows based machine. I'm just not into the Mac stuff. Mad props, though, for actually going through with it.

And here I was thinking I was the only vette with a carPC in Huntsville. This trend just seems to be taking off!

Have any pictures of your install?

that is pretty cool. Any pictures of it with the console in the car. You did a nice clean job of installing it.

GOD I want to finish mine up now!!.. I've figured out a way to relocate the buttons on a pioneer HU so i can just put buttons around the screen and not having a HU displayed.. allowing me to use a much bigger screen... nice install... as stated I wouldn't have used a mac but to each his own.

I haven't done it, yet. I had big plans on my TA, got a pile of parts together, but funds ran out and the project got put on the back burner. Now the TA is gone and I've started thinking about going through with it on the 'vette. Since the 'vette doesn't have to get me to work every day I can actually deal with the down time during the install.

I'd love to get a chance to check yours out sometime since you live local. You should give me a shout sometime.

movies, wireless internet, tuning capablities... for all the same reasons you would buy a computer and then to have it in your car.. sounds over kill but its' not even enough once you explore all the possilbities.
