their starting price is high but most car dealerships are. look around you can find 01/02 z06's for that ammount. just like any dealership you have to workt them down. as far as the 395 hp they are probably trying to add in for the exhaust and other little mods it has. dont let them upcharge for that.
yeah i have no intent on paying that much. my friend bought a lt4 c4 from these people a couple years ago with 17,000 miles for 14,000 and they started at 20,000. and im not necessarily gonna trade them my car cause i know they wont give me close to what its worth even though its excellent shape. i appreciate your help though and im just playin with the thought. this input is exactly what i wanted cause i dont wanna trade an 11 sec car for a high 12 car. gotta love a vette though.
is there a worthwhile difference in the Z06?

I don't really understand the point youre trying to make. Do I think the Z has 40 more RWHP? no, I dont.

I also dont believe the FRC runs 12.4 and the coupe runs 12.9. They run almost identical times stock vs stock.

So if you DONT believe there is a 40rwhp diffrence in the FRC and the 385hpZ why do you seem to think the Z will run 115mph and the FRC will run 110mph?

My bad...yes the Z has 40 HP more but not the C5 FRC. I need to quit posting after I drink beer. Are you talking about the Z running 12.4s?

A guy in my car club is selling a nice FRC with H/C/I and a 150 shot. I'll have him post the link tomorrow. The car sounds absolutley insane.

my 99 FRC has no options except cd player and magnesium wheels. weighs in around 3040 w/o driver on a lil under 1/4 tank. Bone stock i went 12.84@108.42 first week of august of last year in the heat....

Did ls6 intake and zip tie mod went 12.583@109.72 on 8-14-06

Put vararam on with z06 cam and a corsa catback ended up with
12.214@114.35.. Went back to the track a few weeks after that run when it cooled down and couldnt hook on my tires running 12.5-6 @ 116-7 mph.

if you are going to mod the frc then there is really no gain from the a z06. the only difference would probably end up being the transmission. the z06 has different gear ratios vs a coupe or frc. not sure really how correct it is but i have been told its about equivelant to having 373's in a coupe/frc.

I bought a FRC over a z06 because I planned on putting the money saved into mods. H/C is currently being installed. I prefer the look of the hardtop over the coupe. They put the same hp at the wheels as the base vette. I think they are around 100lbs lighter than a base vette, but I've always thought the frc was a little heavier than the z06. I bought my car with catback exhaust and red/black sport seats 53,000miles for 20k from a private party

yeah no matter how hard i try not to i always end up modding so no sense in a z06 i guess. but i do like the body style better than the coupes.
