Default First time at the track with the C5 Z06

I finally got around to taking the car to the track for the first time(10/11/07). Well actually I tried the thursday before but we got rained out. Either way, I am pretty pleased with the car. Considering the conditions of the car and weather I think its got more in it. My best run was a 1.86 60ft and resulted in a 12.03 @ 115.9. My only mods are Long Tubes, catback, varram, and I put Mickeys on the rear. I know that I need a new clutch before I go back to the track because the car hooks too hard for the stocker and the clutch slipped pretty bad on launch and felt to be slipping on the top of 4th.

I will have the following mods before I return to the track in mid to late February. LS7 clutch kit, cam kit(not sure which one yet), 3:90 gears and a tune. Hoping to reach about a 11.4 - 11.6's @ 120-122. Thats my goal so well see.

Those are great times for what you have done. put a clutch in and build you a rearend with 3.90 gears[dont go cheap.do both half shafts] And you will run the times you want to.

good numbers!
You definitely have more left in that car. A tune and clutch will really help too. Stock the z06's are tuned very conservatively. You will pick up some decent hp and tq just from a tune after the headers. Those numbers are attainable with the mods you are going to do and have done. Also you can get those numbers without the 3.90's.
