Default what RPM to launch

Okay I know I need a SIG but here it is...
2003 C5 Z05 ... LG Headers , X Pipe , B&B .... Haltech Intake, 3:90 gears and programming.... I have 315's but they are street tires... Flaken AZENIS RT 615's.......

I cant seem to hook... I tried 2500 RPM and it was too much, just spun like crazy even with a fresh track...

This car is new to me and I dont have much track experience so any advise to improve times I would appreciate it.

Any other tips also greatly appreciated.....

Default rpm

Read Rangers info on Corvette forum.
When I was stock I had to hold about 1800 rpm then drop the clutch and slowly press the pedal to the floor...(not too slow, just a fast one-two-three). Not much spin at all that way. Drop your tire pressure to about 18 lbs hot...Then work from there, depending if the track is hooking...up or down on the rpm. That 390 gear is going to hurt you if you slam the gas down...just as you feel the tires start to bite, get into the gas slowly as I said. Will take some practice but you will get it !! Pit-man

I agree or ET Streets to cushion that output shaft a little, then you can try 3800 rpm launch +

Street tires Non-Runflat, for me = 2000-2300 RPM.

DR's For me anywhere from 2700-4500RPM.

The launch is the key to these cars, and its tricky. Ranger has a fairly good handle on the operation. Read his article the practice and refine...
