Ok, I give up on the Tach, no one seems to be using them. Where are you guys mounting your shift light ?? Any pics you can post ? I need some consistancy in my shifting.

Im going to have mine installed behind the driverside upper A/C vent. This way all you can see is the light going off and you dont have to look at the ugly-ness of a huge shift light every day.

thanks guys. That is what I need...choices. Mine is for 1/4 track use. As soon as I drop the clutch and try to re-focus from the tree to the tach it is time to hit second.

with a brite light like a Raptor, it will shine right thru the vents when they are open and you cant even see it when its not on.

any reason you didn't put it in the left side defroster vent...I'm trying to decide on where to put mine...

Mine is mounted under the wideband on the gauge pod! Works good I think!

I mounted my Raptor 3/4 the way up the A-pillar with two sided tape, then tucked the wires beneath the A-pillar.

so does the vent just pull out? I think im going to put mine there just for the fact its on the right side and im right handed/right eye dominant.

Can't you just use the HUD? It flashes SHIFT across it.

Factory tach not accurate enough for racing, just fine for the street. When you log with tuning software you see how bad it lags when you drag racing. Also doesn't get your attention in daylight. You need a bright flash.
