cheap DR idea for a c6 well, i was going to go all out, and make about 800rwhp+, and get some bogarts made with DR's for my c6, but the zr1 is comming out, and im sold...boy am i sold. Im making about 600 right now, and driving on these run-craps...no traction, im spinning at 60mph+ when i gun it, i really need some DR's for my c6, but dont want to spend 4k on a spare set of rims, like forgelines, or hre (18's all around) so i had this idea, get the front knock off zo6 wheels 18 x 9.5,( i have zo6 knock offs right now 18/19) my plan was to widen them to a 18x11 and get some BFG DR's prob wont be more than 1000.00, is this possible to do, has it been done before, and the last thing is it safe?? I was told widening them isnt going to be safe going 135mph+....i just want 1 good run without spinning before i sell this car...any help would be great

They are arguably the best in the country. They widened my buddy's TBSS wheels and they look great. The weld looks like it was done by a robot but they do everything by hand. Wheels needed less weight for balance after they widened them!
I was going to do the same thing but with the base C6 front rims widened from 18x8.5 to 18x10.5 maybe and then use a 305x35x18 M/T DR on them...I calculated it out to be a roughly $1200.00 venture though.

thanx guys looks like im gonna try this out, try to run a 10sec time, and get ready to sell it for a zr1
