I just swapped my LS1 for an LS6 but haven't seen any gain in performance. I suspect the computer needs to be reprogrammed but haven't a clue how to do this. Any help would be appreciated. Anything else I should consider?
Thanks

What did you swap it from and to (new motor junkyard motor, etc..), what year car did you put it in, etc... Where are you located, have you ever had the car on a dyno to see what the stock HP numbers were?

Old LS1 w/ 189800 miles (dropped a valve) came out of 1999 Camaro-SS. New crate LS6 went in - Chevy was absolutely NO HELP WHATSOEVER in addressing the PCM issue, but now I'm waiting on a new chip / PCM (whatever) from Street and Performance in Mena, Arkansas. I've was told by many that this will fix the problem.
Sorry it's taken me a while to get back.

Any tuner with ls1edit shouyld be able to fix you up....
Since the Ls6 was installed in a run of 69 ZL-1 Camaros for 2002 by GMMG, you should be able to get a program that will do the trick,or have your PCM tuned... Is you car an automatic or a 6spd?
