Maybe just me but I would ask for it to be painted another color that they aren't going to off. LeMans just isn't my thing.

They didn't explain that fact well enough...$60K a gallon is the special chemically altered clear coat that covers the exposed carbon fiber on the body...they say roughly $2000 worth of material will actually be on each car. Just thought I'd clear that up...

I believe they said that the carbon fiber was $60,000.00 per gallon not the LeMan's blue paint . But I LOVE that color !

with that one selling for that price it prob. means the other Zr1 will go well over msrp just like the first z06s did. and for the paint i think the LeMans blue is the best color besides black of course

$`1,000,000 for #0001 ??? I think I could wait for #0002 save quite a bit of money.

it's neither. it's the clear coat that goes over the exposed carbon as mentioned before.

The proceeds from the sale went to the United Way. Also they said every dollar over the msrp was tax deductible for the buyer. So yeah it was expensive, but it went for a good cause.

it came with a bunch of extras too....a bunch of memorabilia, he can pick it up at Bowling green - or Jay Lenos garage, he can be the first person to start the car, driving school at Baldurran (sp), and a bunch of others...and yea, every dollar over the msrp was considered tax deductable... The guy that bought it is the same guy that bought #003 1953 Vette for 1,000,000 at BJ auction

The color on the car at the auction was Jet Stream blue, a production color. veThe Lemans Blue that the actual car will be is a bit darker. They had the Cyber Gray ZR1 at the Detroit auto show with painted wheels. It's just not as striking as the blue with chrome wheels is.

I don't think officially, but expect right at 100K...and then an additional amount for the 4LT model with Two Tone Interiors

If my memory serves me I beleive that the number 3 1953 Corvette sold for 1,100,000. The guy that owned it/sold it lives in the north burbs of atlanta..I have seen that car a few times..he inherited it from his father.
