ARS27-708A Racing .... Whats next... . So last night at about 11pm I got pulled over for racing a supercharged mustang and had no way to get out of it.... First off I wasnt going to race but shortly after the light turned green he hit it so I had no choice.... Punched it in 2nd and traction control came on so the mustang got a little head start..... Turned off traction control and gassed it.... 2nd 3rd and on in to 4th started catching up and passed him about 1/2 way through 4th when I saw the good old blue and red lights flashing and knew I was screwed. I have to say we were well over 100 because when I finally let out of it I was 5500 in 4th..... So anyways while in handcuffs waiting to hear my fate, the mustang agreed he started it so they let me go with ONLY a ticket.... I got only one ticket titled RACING>...
So the reason for the post I want to hear from those of you in ARIZONA who have this ticket and what happened. I have no idea the penalty.... I have zero tickets in 4yrs and I can go to driving school.... What do you all think... Thanks

Your first ticket is a misdemeanor, another street racing ticket moves you to felon status.
Your penalties prescribed by law are:
a minimum $250 fine
possible community service
possible license suspension for upto 90 days.
I suggest putting a lawyer on retainer, as I'm unsure if you have mandatory appearance.
