New Vette Hi guys while im not new to LS1 tech i am new to corvettes and i am looking at getting one real soon i used to have a 2002 SS with full exhaust and cutouts i loved it cept for the sloppy play on the roads what kind of vette would you suggest to me i am looking at around 30K range? Any help would be nice thanks!!!
30k buys a lot.... you don't have to spend that much...

Sold my 2001 C5 Z for 15 grand and it was in mint condition..back in november....
Just broke the timing chain and didn't want to deal with putting in a new motor. etc..
I believe they put a new set of heads on it and sold it for 22 grand..
It was a nice car that needed nothing except the motor fixed etc..
Had a new clutch, differential, new tires, brakes street driven and garaged. The car was beautiful with 64K miles. The day I sold it I drove down to kerbecks in atlantic city and bought a new c6 Z51 for 44 grand..
But as far as buying a c5? go to www.corvetteforum.com and cruise through the various listing...(tons of them) Decide what you want ..Coupe? Z06 notchback? VErt?
I'd suggest a stock 2002 C5 Z06 as that was a hell of a car.. Should be about 24 - 26 grand and tons of low mileage examples..

Alright guys im ready to buy one now i think i have decided on a z06 dont know what year yet just kind of depends on what price and miles does anyone know of any good deals going on dealership or not?

30,000 will get you a top notch anything C5 and there are tons out there that people buy and don't drive and I mean there are a ton of them all over the country!!!!..... you already know what you want to spend,now be sure of what you want-"be very patient" and you will know it when you see it !!
we all love the z,s but their roofs don't come off and we all change the exhaust on "all" of them..... a few mods and you can have more power than the z and take that roof off which is sweet!!!

It all comes down to personal preference. For $30K you could get an '05-'06 C6 with at least 30K miles or you could get a very low mileage '02-'04 C5 ZO6...I chose the ZO6 because it's got more of an edge and the base C6 styling is ok IMO. I also like how well the Z handles...especially compared to my T/A! And if you're wondering which color to get?...Electron Blue FTW!
