Cam Help I am trying to decide on which cam is going to perform the best for my setup. The car has lg longtubes, borla catback,off road X pipe, ls6 intake, and haltech cold air. I have a nx dual nozzle kit and will be spraying a 100 shot. I am stuck between a couple different cams, 1 being comps 232/234-595/598-112, 2nd is the comp 224/228-581/588-112, and third being mti's x1 cam. If anyone has had good luck with any of these cams on gas or not, please all info will help. Thanks!!
The first two are better choices for nitrous. Nitrous favors more exhaust lift and duration. The MTI X1 cam was developed durning the fad of reverse split cams. Another thing that will play a part in what cam will be better is what type of heads you have and how they flow. A lot of older heads, 2+ years, do not flow that great around 0.600" of lift. The 232/234 is going to have a lot of lope and chop in a 346.

Thank you for your help. I still have stock heads but when I change them I am probably goion to go with Patriot Ls6 ported heads or maybe AFR 205's. What I am relly looking for is a cam that is going to perform the best cam only with nitrous. I dont really want to put heads on the car now I would rather only by one set of heads and that would be for a motor build.

If you are looking at the comp 232/234 you should look at the the Futral f14. I personally ran a Futral f14 for over a year. The car ran great with that cam and it is known down here in the South to take nitrous as well. My old cam is still going strong in a friends engine now.
