402 stokers??
As long as the rings are seated correctly during break in, you should not have any problems with oil consumption. There where some problems a while around with motors using a 4.125" stroke crank, 6.125" rods, and stock deck height blocks. The spacing/location of the rings in the piston is very important on these combos. The first ones of these had bad oil consumption problems, but since then the spacing issue has been figured out.

I agree if built professionally, balanced and blue printed, etc., with the right components, as long as its broken in properly should not have a problem, and great simple stroker to go with that makes great power (LS2 402, utilizing 4.00 crank)!
My 403 doesn't use or burn any oil at all. My shortblock is from SDPC. I broke it in exactly as they said using Rotel oil for the first 3k and changing it after 500/1500. I then switched to Vavoline Racing Oil (VR-1 Not for Street). Both oils are high in anti-scuff additives that are not found in many other oils. I'm now running synthetic. A well setup PCV system is essential.
