I've driven my c5 FRC from Michigan to Texas and back several times. No problem with getting whatever I needed in the car for the trip. Luggage, etc etc.

Get yourself one of those plug in coolers. They work great. Helps avoid the need to make a pit stop for drinks. I only stop for gas and/or the restroom.

What kind of mods are you planning for your car ?? Modding actually helps your Highway gas mileage. If its going to be a trip car and you want to make the most miles from a tank I'd suggest LG Pro longtube headers, ASP u/d pully, and a Meziere EWP, plus a tune. You'll see 33+ mpg on highway all day long. Almost forgot you'll also pickup about 40-50 rwhp and 40-50 rwtq. Not bad having a 380+ rwhp 380+ rwtq trip car. Take it from me I have a 490 rwhp 445 rwtq trip car. LOL.

Enjoy
