Default A6 C6 owners....best $99 spent on your car?

The RevXtreme A6 tune is only $99 & is done while you wait. Firms up the shifts & reduces the lag in paddle shifting....end result is a total different beast. Call JP for details: 941-753-5255

99 for a transmission reprogram, not too bad.

Any truth to the rumors that if you smoke your A6 tranny and you've had it reprogrammed that GM is immediately DENYING the warranty coverage ??

Allegedly they can tell that its been reprogrammed even if its reflashed.

This has happened over on the Corvette Forums. Guy had his transmission computer flashed, the A6 shot craps, coudln't re-tune it, GM denied his warranty on a 2007 C6.

The tune would help w/tranny life as it reduces the built it "comfort" slip so the clutches last longer & also a slight bump in line pressure.

As far as the dealer knowing it was tuned....pretty near impossible unless the owner told them.

Are you sure about the dealer not knowing? One of my friends took his 08 M6 in, and he had had the transmission flashed, and they knew about it and refused his service untill it was back to original.

They will know...

On the other hand though, if you plan on doing any other modding the warranty is going to be under question anyway. That is a decision you make when you buy a new car, as to whether or not you value the warranty enough to mod or not.

If anyone with our tune needs we can re-flash it back to stock if they intend to go in for warranty work if worried. Out of the hundreds & hundreds of customers we have had through the years I have never heard of an issue.

There is far to much un-tapped potential in these cars to NOT tune them, but it is a choice. If happy w/the canned tune from GM then by all means, don't do it......but I buy the cars to have fun with & that usually means making them faster!
