Steering locked & dash message I am sure this has been addressed before, but I am new to the forum and can't find it. I have a '99 frc 6spd, without any previous trouble the dash display told me to remove the key and wait 10 seconds, I did, and tried again. It now says service steering lock, and ofcourse the steering wheel remains in the locked position. Whats the problem? (electronics or hard parts). I want it fixed correctly, but don't want to break the bank. Need to know which way to go-thanks.

You have to read the bottom part about if the steering wheel is already locked. Otherwise you will probably have to have it towed to the stealership.

mine has said that Remove Key for 10 Seconds too but i never did. It's done it ever since i got my Column Lock Bypass. hmm, i'd say you may get lucky and get it unlocked by jiggling the wheel really good. Get violent with it and it may pop loose. Then get the CLB ASAP~cole~
