Have you flushed the fluid?

Tex and be done. I had the 0Z 700 in my H/C T/A and it drove perfect. It felt almost factory but held and took anything I threw it's way. When my stock clutch goes in my Z06 (only 12k on it) I will be replacing it with a Tex. If you research the Tex and other options in the manual tranny section this choice will become more clear after some reading. Search for "spec horror stories", there are a ton of them. Some will swear by them, but that is only a few. Many have had them explode with hardly any miles on them. There is one member here who had a spec explode in his C5 and it totaled the car. Just study up on the options and either choose a tex or a ls6/7 type combo. Whatever suits your needs best.

Well, my clutch failed last week.

A C6/Z51 pulled up next to me and we started a race from around 3k rpm in 1st gear....

At redline I shifted 2nd.... and when the clutch peddle was released....

I ordered an LS6 with aluminum flywheel from LG Motorsports and I'm waiting for it to show up. Since the syncro in 2nd gear was starting to act up I'm going to have the tranny rebuilt at the same time.... as well as reseal the diff case (minor leak on the driver's output side)

I practice what I preach (post #16)

I get zero chatter with my spec 3+ and I'm running an aluminum flywheel.....had TONS with my prior RAM 402 sintered iron disk setup. The spec 3+ will hold a ton of power as well.

Ran a Spec 3 in my Z28 and had absolutely no chatter. 1 month in my z06 and I replaced the stocker with a 3+. Love it and I still haven't broken it in yet. It's around the 300 mile mark, pedal feels close to OEM, a little chatter with reverse but I believe that will go away with more miles I put on it.

Same here, going to install a SPEC 3+ in my ZO6 this weekend. If you drive it right and break it in right, there is little to no chatter. Its a performance clutch its bound to happen. If I had the money I'd run a SPEC TWIN or a RAM TWIN. But this is the best its going to get and steering away from Textralia's for many reasons I won't disclose.

I have the LS7 clutch and making around 600rwhp with no problems, not good for the track, but a nice street clutch. Going to upgrade to the Textralia soon

I'd recommend getting a seat belt or harness put on your toilet then. Your gonna blast off into your attic one day.
