Default Anyone use a mini starter? C5

Looking at my setup....my downpipe comes way too close for comfort to my starter....so I am looking at my options. I don't have a ton of time to research while at work since I can't even acces LS1 tech(right now i'm sitting in our mobile escalade JACKING the labtop)....

..so, i'd appreciate your help any idea's pictures...thoughts.

Looking for something affordable,...but...if all you can come up with is a tinatium uranium cased starter....lemme kow please.

Thanks.

You should post this over in the Conversions forum. Also, I'm pretty sure Autozone has geared down starters which are small. I just don't know if they have it for the LS motors.

Thanks man. I've been looking today. Found a "powermaster" or something...like 200something bucks. But, nothing specific ya know?... i'll devote some more time into the search.

Thanks for the tip.

I heard the C6 starters have more clearance than ours.I need to look into this as well,my heatshield for my turbo is VERY close to the pos terminal of the starter. Please post up if you find anything,a pic would be nice as well.

At the moment, my V band flange is sitting right on the starter...soo,..we'll see how long it tkaes until I split it in two. Going to try and get a C6 starter in my hands so I can measure her up.
