ls1 question
hi i am looking to buy a 02 vette with a bad motor..can i swap in a ls1 from that year out of a camaro or does it have to be a vette motor.didnt know if they were the same..or if i could use any of the ls1 engines..or is it eaiser to rubuild the one in the car if it can be..thanks

I think the main question here is how much for the Vette with a blown motor?
Right now it is a buyers market, You can get a C5 really cheap complete running, There are 2 1999 C5 here, One has 70,000 miles and the other has 120 I think it was and the asking price is 11,000, Body on the cars are in nice shape. It's a shame the prices on the C5 have dropped so much.

well this one did big money at auction it was a 02 convert with 36k miles..went for 17k..either someone didnt check it proir to auction or is nuts..it wouldnt turn over at all and have no oil on dipstick..so we were just figuring bad motor..they wanted it more than i did..lol..
