the C6Z06 is close performance wise and more in my price range..Oh well..

Any of you seen the jet stream blue C6Z06...What do you think of that color?
If i was looking to get a c6z i would say atomic orange with atomic orange/black 360 forged wheels. One of the best looking cars i've ever seen.

Vipers are heavy enough with the hard top. Adding a vert to that...
The market is insane for used ZO6's something that was 70k just 2 years ago ive seen 45-50k with low low miles. I am picking one up down the road. Gotta get rid of some cars first though haha.

I seriously doubt he would "**** off" either crowd by showing up in the other brand. The cars are completely different, even though people like to compare them all day. If you've driven an SRT Viper and a C6Z, the cars are completely different animals. You just need to decide if this is a weekend hotrod or something to daily drive. The Corvette blends in with other cars better, less likely to get vandalized. The Viper will make you an instant rockstar on the road, people will ask for photos and all kinds of stuff. Drive a Viper into a car show or cruise-in and park near the Z06 Corvettes, and those Corvettes become invisible to the crowd.

Two different cars. Gotta love them for different reasons. Nobody has the right answer, it is YOUR choice.

Trust me if their was a viper coupe on island Id be all about it....but honestly My red SRT10 Viper and my buddies yellow C6Z06 both got about the same attention when we drove them out and about together.. I personally thought the SRT10 looked a lil nicer but the C6Z06 did have a shorter wider front end when they were both side by side..While the SRT10 vert had a much better looking rear than the C6Z06..

Your coupe on the other hand is a step above a SRT10 vert or c6Z06...Visually ( although I prefer the 70 pounds of lighter weight that the vert provides at 3390 pounds vrs the coupes 3460 pounds)...

Ive got the price around the 45K mark for the C6Z06 now...Im gonna finance for 7 years at 6.75% interest....And it's only gonna cost me 650$ per month...About 200$ cheaper than my last viper was a month...As well I just called progressive auto insurance and the insurance is also 100$ a month cheaper than my last Viper...

The color of the car isnt Jet stream blue. It's a dark metallic blue that was only made in 2006 acording to the seller....

Im really close to pulling the trigger now. I wanted to sell my nsx first. but the price is so good that I may just get it now

Wow, 7 year financing...I dont know that I could stomach that, but to each his own.

I'm in the same boat, but am looking at C6 Coupes vs Gen 2 Vipers, Looking to spend around 35ish at tops...

Due to the fact you like to trade vehicles frequently, I'd go with the Viper. With 7 year financing, you are going to lose your shirt when it comes time to payoff/trade that Vette, as the principle paid isn't going to be enough to keep up with the devaluation of the vehicle.

At least with the Viper, I'd think you'd have better resale based off the past few months of my browsing.

Accualy i was using what he said about upseting his viper buddies, so easy killa. I have never really like vipers though, so i'm a little one sided here. We have had plenty of both and i just think you get more for your money with the Z06..not to metion it felt like i was driving an S2000, it was so cramped, in the last 06 copperhead we had

I financa all my cars for 6-7 years...The payments are small and as long as the interest rate is low your not really loosing too much money...Then when I get them down to around 10-12K I pay them off. So really it gets paid of in 4-5 years anyway but those payments are still easily doable if times ever get rough...

But sure enough i talked to a viper buddy today for an hour and he talked me out of it...

He told me what I already know...

You can have 3 C6Z06's parked in front of a crowd and when even a 1996 Viper GTS rolls in they suddenly disapear...

A C6Z06 is faster than a GTS by quite a bit and a lil faster than a SRT10. No doubt. But If I can already geta C6Z06 for the mid 40's after it has only been out for two years..what will the car be worth in 24 months?????

In contrast the 2003 Viper that has been out for 5 years is still worth 42-45 grand....

He then said that I thought the c6Z06 was close visually to my SRT10 because I see the SRT10 everyday. And that to everyone else the SRT10 is much more of an exotic in appearance as well as rarity...

He told me to hold out a year and get the 2008 Viper...Thats what my heart really wants and he's right. If I get the C6Z06 12-24 months from now Ill be trying to trade into a 2008 viper and loose even more money...

Thanks for the help guys....But even though it's a smoking deal Im gonna pass it up..

If anyones interested in a Blue c6Z06 ( 2006) with 25 K miles and 1 year full warranty as well as another 3 years of power train warranty and a corsa exhaust with 5% tint and a callaway air intake for 47K ( maybe less but you gotta deal with him) let me know...This car is in hawaii....

he's a nice guy and Ill give you his number if your interested.

Yea vette prices are dropping but the thing about the vipers holding there value is only true if you dont drive them. Vipers for some reason are super price dependent on mileage, alot more thn most sports cars including vettes. We've sold them and know that ball game

Corvettes are also very mileage vs price oriented. Essentially, the same type of enthusiasts buy these cars, and most prefer low mileage unmolested cars.

I'm shopping for a Z06 now, but keeping the Viper too. I'd pay a little more for a lower mileage Z06, just like most would.

Tough decision... but I look at it this way.

If you want the looks, get the viper. If you want to be a bit under the radar, which driving around in my Z06 i get looks EVERYWERE, then get the z06.

the z06 is faster, even match with the '08, more comfortable and something you can drive everyday. If you want to wash it up, bring it out and be the man of the weekend, get the viper, no comparison.

every vehicles price is dependent on mileage, but every 1000 miles on a viper is marginally worse then others including vettes. this is a fact we have had many of each and we really cringe when a 05 up viper with more tha 5k on it comes in were as we'll take a 05 up vette with 20k no problemo

Buddy of mine had both cars. What Nine Ball said is on the $$$ with what my buddy says too. Much more exclusivity with the Viper.

Neither, I'd go with a Mustang. Chevy's aren't very good cars.

Go with the C6Z. Vipers are nice, more rare and all, but a c6z has the total package including handling. Nuremberg in under 7.5m

Best post I've ever read on comparing the two. It's true, the vettes would dissapear when parked next to a Viper..

It's funny i posted this same thing about a month ago except i was asking about the performance and modability of both cars. Although now i am thinking about just keeping my car and putting more money in it, but to get back to the point. Vert =. The coupe looks better especially from the back. Get the 06 coupe put on the 08 hood with a supercharger (paxton or new roe ts) and have the 08 looks and more power for cheaper.
