05 C6 M6 Steering Column Locked, HELP !

You go to start the car and it turns over just doesn't start, then on the cluster "Service Column Lock" appears.

Does this or can this only be solved/fixed at the dealership or is there some way that I can fix the problem in my drive way.

I've tried thrashing the wheel back and forth turning the ignition on and off at the same time, it does not want to budge.

Looks like I'am taking this thing to the dealer, unless anyone else has a better method/solution to this problem.

it will either need re programming or a new module... off to the stealership you go
