1/8 mile time question?

1/8 mile time question? yes i have a truck but i had a question for yall, i was out at a local 1/8 mile track a few weeks ago and there was a 2001-2002 z06, i looked under the hood and it looked completly stock to my novice knowledge, exhaust was stock as well, all i could tell that was done to it was drag radials, it was pulling 7.8's and 7.7's all night. Could this car possibly be stock? if so that is damn impressive, by the way there was a 2001 viper gts out there and the vette spanked him every time, his best was around 8.05. so yeah my question is can a stock z06 run that fast??

Re: 1/8 mile time question? probably has a few mods such as air intake and maybe headers...but a stock ZO6 with drag radials and a decent driver can get 7.8s in the 1/8th, without drag radials 1/8th times are closer to 8.0 or 8.1s....not experienced drivers get 8.4s or higher...with drag radials can get 1.7 to 1.8 60 fts...on stock tires 2.1 to 2.3s are common...yes that car could have been stock to near stock.
