Default Just ran the stocker(ish)

This was the first time I've ran at the track in 5 years.
The car is in my sig. It has 100,095 miles and is an A4 with factory 3:23's on it and was absolutely bone stock when I got it last friday. The runs were at amarillo dragway, elevation about 3600ft and air density is always poor...usually it reads more like 5000ft because of air density.

The car has:
Removed sway bar
Self Ported TB
SLP lid w/ K&N
cut out
descreened MAF
cold air (free mod)

Car had a little more than half a tank of gas and some old, hard street tires.

Best e.t. and mph was my first run.....a 13.76 at 103.23mph with a 2.19 60'

ran 3 other times; 13.79, 13.80, 13.91 all almost right at 103 but the 60' just kept getting worse, so next mod will be some drag wheels and mickeys. If it hooks, which it should, and with the weight savings of the drag wheels, I hope to be able to get around a 13.3...if the tranny holds up
Then it'll be a shift kit/freshen-up and a yank 3600 stall and get some 12's with stock internals, and exhaust....at least that is the plan.

My first run was againt a 2000 camaro with MS4, 3200 stall, 4.10's, longtubes, full exhaust, TT II's with 315 nittos and said it was tuned. Did say he still had the LS1 intake though.

My lane--------His lane
2.19 60'--------2.28 60'
8.99 1/8-------8.86 1/8
82.17 mph------83.60 mph
13.76 1/4------13.51 1/4
103.23 mph-----106.20 mph

I was very surprised how well I kept up and how poorly his car did with these mods...even the mph should've been about 112mph I would think, but the LS1 intake is probably hurting him with that big of a cam...probably to big for an auto without some heads.

The rear-end has absolutely no wine and I plan to not touch it till something gives, but I am going to add a rear-end girdle for a little extra protection...autos are a ton easier on rear-ends than 6 speeds and my hp will only be about 320rwhp since I'll still be running stock manifolds, stocks cats and completely stock internals

Yeah, it keeps surprising me....the only thing wrong is the front bumper....it's spider cracked real back and pretty roe up under neath. Someone didn't know how to go through dips or stop before curbs.

Your tranny will be fine at 13.3 easily. I run that or a little faster consistantly without any problems.

If it didn't have 100k+ miles on it, then I would agree. I'll probably do the shift kit myself and get a little programmer to adjust shift points and then wait for it to crap out before I do the stall and freshen up the trans.

It shifts good but could definitely use the shift kit....I did one on my TA and it made a world of difference although 7 hours of under the car doing the shift kit (being a careful as I could) did not do good things for me neck.
