New best but have a question
Made it out yesterday for some first passes of the year and I was very pleased with the results, actually pretty shocked. Previous best was a 11.21@119 1.55 60ft. My question is on my second pass nothing was done to the car, just parked in the pits with air being pretty much the same(-517 da) and it picked up 3 mph...how? I thought it might be a fluke with the tracks timing system, but not sure. I did not make another pass since I was really pressing my luck with no roll cage and did not want to get asked to leave and not come back until I had one. Anyone with any ideas? slips are below

Congrats and WHO CARES ???!!! The air was awesome and I saw both of your passes your car really pulled like gangbusters !! Not bad at all for a 346 stock bottom end motor . But IMHO , I just think the air was just perfect for your combo. I understand that a 3.7 mph gain is a little baffling, but everyone out there were running new best ,so don't be to skepital about your runs , man.

Awesome times either way but I vote for timing error. This is based solely off of personal experience and I have never had a car pick up 3 mph with no changes, not to say it's impossible but not very likely.

it's possible that it could have been a timing problem ,but for some reason i don't think so. Lee and Heather both ran 10.8's and my buddy Lorenz ran a 11.20 and all of those passes were 119-124 mph several times that day . like i said before i know a 3.7 mph increase may seem impossible and almost un-heard off unless you had a cut-out open and i know you didn't. you guys had some great air that day and your combo is really working .

Easiest way to tell is to compare your 1/8th mph with your 1/4 mph and determine if your car picked up mph at both intervals. If your 1/8th stayed the same with an increase only in the 1/4, it may have been a timing error. You never know, the error may have been on the first pass.
Congrats either way. Your car is flying.
