Default Second time at the track. New PB

Well the last time I went to the track was in Nov 2010 and I smoked the clutch on the first pass and was done. Fast forward to April 17,2011 our local car forum had our Spring track day and it was a blast. My best pass all day was a 12.839 at 117.52 with a 2.32 60ft, I could not get my 60ft down for ****. I was hoping for at least a 12.5 but oh well, I know the car has high 11's in her I just need more seat time but not bad for a daily driven 170,000 mile camaro.

What are some tricks or tips you guys could give me on getting my 60ft down? I tried rolling out and a 2,000 clutch dump. I have a diamond stage 3 clutch but Im using the 10bolt still so I didn't want to test the 10 bolt. Can the 10 bolt handle more then I'm giving it.

nice mph...what mods? at 2k dump, did it spin, or bog? if it bogged, try a little more rpm, if it spun, get better tires!

edit: a lot of 10 bolts i've seen explode have been on the 1-2 shift...but bolt ons, i was getting 1.9 60' times with the 10 bolt...and BFG drag radials..not sure i'd trust it behind a h/c car though.

MODS: BBK Intake, 125 shot, TSP 228R, SLP loud mouth, UMI SFC,LCA, LCA Relocation Brackets, Hotchkis ADJ Panhard bar and a tune.
At 2000 it bogged off the line. Would you do increments of 500 or 1000rpm? Im using the nitto 555rII's they worked good I was hitting the nitrous in first gear and they didn't break traction.

man that car looks clean, I'd say try 4k. 2k is way to low.

thats not bad, my 02 ws6 with full exhaust, tune and a zex 125 wet shot went 7.5 in the 1/8th with a best of 1.65 60ft on the 10 bolt with just a gear change. I too would bog down at 2k ( with 4.10's) so what i do is try to time the tree so i'm about 2500-3k on the launch. are u using a window switch for ur shot? i had mine set at 3200 and on my best 60ft i kinda slipped the clutch alittle off the line to get moving, and then the spray would kick in. no spin at all. but my car only has
45k miles. ur rear with those miles might not handle the abuse. looking to see if i can scare the hell out of the 6's with the new setup!!! lol..... good luck! and seat time will make all the difference inthe world!

I have a window switch that kicks in at 3000 and cuts off at 6200. The rear end was rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago by the last owner. Next time I'll try what you suggested, slip the clutch of the line and let the nitrous kick in and she what she does.
