Finally in the 10's at 36 yrs old! LOL
Well, after being out of touch with muscle cars for a while after getting into a biz adventure, i finally got back into a decent car at the end of last year. I bought an '01 SS with a pic of a time slip that read 10.84 @123 and yesterday, i verified that even that was exactly what the seller had honestly advertised!
The race weight is about 100# lighter than it was when he ran the 10.84 but i removed the ram air setup in lieu of going turbo soon and need to stand the radiator up, and it was 30 degrees warmer than when he ran so those 2 things seem to have negated the 100# difference and i ran a best of 5 passes, 10.86 @ 123.60 mph! Best advertised 60' was a 1.48 and i ran a pair of 1.501's and no pro at all foot braking a car!
Im VERY happy with EVERYTHING about this car and will see what the future holds for it!
Cheers!
