Nicks First drag race

Nicks First drag race Well yesterday i went to a 1/8th mile track back home. Its the Northeast Dragway.
Dude from Eastcoastdomestics.com invited me, WICKEDSIX i think.
the best i was able to do was 8.56 and that was on my first run.
the next run was 8.67 and the last was 8.73
I need to practice in the burnout sections(from properly going through the water box and burnout)
I spun out of the hole each time. i blame the Nexen tires and my eagerness to try and catch the car beside me
In the video(that i will post later) I raced a mustang about the same year as me. He said he was stock and maybe the motor was, but i beleive he had a aftermarket exhaust and i know he had those weird light weight drag rims on w/ some tires on the back that seemed to work better than mine.
i lost due to spinning but my time was faster. i was going past his back bumper when we crossed the line.
If it had been a 1/4 mile i would won by a few car lengths for sure.
but we talked and we both agree we had crappy tires and that it was a fun race.
WICKEDSIX-raced him and i think he won. but then again WICKEDSIX went a best of 8.26 at one point that day.
the mustang went 74.xxmph and i went 84.xxmph his time was 8.7xx mine was8.67
now im hooked but probably shouldnt be racing my only transportation...
EDIT::: sidenote-was listening to 3oh3 when the lady asked what number i wanted...lol

my car is stock. its a A4. i have Nexen NS3000s on the car.
i was trying not to mess them up as they are 190 a tire and i cant buy any right now.
so thats why theres no burnout. But nexens dont hook either so that coupled with the fact i hit the gas too hard is why i spun bad at every start.
i was also too excited to get the light timing down. >.< meant to go sooner but didnt wanna redlight.
and i didnt ask the guy about the wing, or the hood inserts. He just said it was stock so i didnt question it.

there is no way by the waterbox at that strip. walls are built into it.
i knew what would happen but i cannot throw my car over the box by hand
