2016 Camaro SS So they say that the new 2016 Camaro is a 12.50 car off the showroom floor.. Pretty damn impressive.. Seems like 11's will come easy with a few bolt ons..

Wow.. The way these new cars are running it makes me feel like running 11's ain't **** these days.. Guys are getting there with a few bolt ons.. Seems like you gotta run 10's or better to make a statement now lol

Those reported times are with professional drivers under optimum conditions. I run against 5th gens all the time and have yet to see one that really gets off the line. Ran a stalled, cammed, bolt on 2012 in Sep at the track that was pulling 12.2 1/4ths to my 11.9.
We are talkin 6gens here.

The driver may be the limiting factor but in the right hands the car sounds capable of it. Damm that's impressive off show room floor. I remember having to throw the whole book of mods at LT1's and LS1's to get there. Cars are getting fast enough now other than tune and muffler swap I honestly think I'd leave a new one alone if I bought it.
The new Camaro sounds like a nice car. It has more power and it weighs less so what's not to like about that. I have a Buick Regal with the 2.0 turbo 4 and it pulls hard with a performance tune, so I imagine the 4 cyl base Camaro will out run the V6 with just a tune. It really is a fun car to drive, I enjoy driving the Regal more than I did my G8 GT.

sounds like in the right hands , with sticky tires and some good fall racing weather we could see one crack 11's pretty soon yes I just quoted myself lol

Saw one run in person Saturday at the track. Danged low 12s and some bud let him borrow drs and it ran 11.90s. Car was impressive. On street tires off the lot it was running 12.20s. This was a auto 16 ss.
