Default New N/A Record

Congrats to Matt Bancroft!

9.62 with a C5R headed Trans Am right off the trailer at M9 yesterday and went 9.4X today at another local track. We still have not put an agressive tune on this car and he is shaking things down still but it does haul some serious ***!

I'll let Matt come in and speak about the rest of the details later.

Thanks for the compliments guys, it was a good weekend for Harlan and Taner as well. My setup is as follows

C5R heads
Sheetmetal Intake made by Modern Cylinder Head
Katech Resleeved aluminum block
LSM custom ground camshaft
Jesel rocker arms
Diamond Pistons
GRP rods
Moldex Crank
60 lb injectors
Aeromotive fuel system

Libertys clutchless 5 speed transmission
Ram single disc 3 finger clutch
Lakewood specialties bellhousing
Custom Z-bar clutch pedal set up

Ford 9" with too much gear
M/T 28" by true 10" tires
Bogart rims with gold centers

the car is all over the place, put it on the bumper twice and am working on the suspension for this weekend. Ran a best of 9.48 @141.7 with a 1.36 60ft. Looking for another 2 tenths or so with the gear swap and some fine tuning but we will see. It's a blast to drive thats for sure.

Their will be more mph with the 4.56 and I was on the limiter with about 200-300 ft left. expecting 145 or so when things are right.

The block is resleeved, and you are running a smaller than stock stroke? Correct? How many ci is the motor? How high are you spinning it?
Congrats on the shake down passes

1/8 TH mile is around 115 and the raceweight is a fat 3350-3400

time to take out some weight.

Ya I would say that if you are only picking up 26-27 MPH from the 1/8th to the 1/4 that you have alot left in it with a gear change. I'm curious to hear what it does after the swap.

Thanks Tim, the motor seems rock solid so far I swapped the 4.86 to the 4.56 last night and will be ready for the 10" tire shootout at Milan on Friday. Hopefully the car will go 9.30s or 20s in the cool weather and not all over the limiter. Just gotta put in a passenger seat to make it legal for the rules, U got an extra baby seat?

Matt
