Finally got to the track I finally got to the track for the first time in a long time. This is my first time out since the Converter, Headers & Duals, Torque Arm and Nittos. Yeah, it had been a while, but I hadn't done anything to my car in a while.
Here's my best two passes:
60' ... 1.919 .. 1.961
1/8 ... 8.107 .. 8.142
mph .. 87.37 .. 87.65
1/4 ... 12.602 .. 12.619
mph .. 109.43 .. 109.87
I went out to GLD in Union Grove. I couldn't hook for the life of me. Stalling it up was out of the question as I would just spin. My best times happened when I just hammered it without stalling up at all. I didn't have a single burnout last less than 3-4 seconds. I also kept banging the rev limiter on the 2-3 and once or twice on the 1-2. I kept spinning on the 1-2 as well. I tell you I hook better on the street. I even had my buddy who has a cam and a Vig 3200 try (he thought it would be easy to hook in mine since he was used to his) and the best he did was a 13.1.
I think if I get to a good track I could see 1.7x 60' times and if I lower my 2-3 shift point and possibly raise the rev limiter a hair I should see 12.3s and possibly a best of a 12.2 on a good day.
I was really shooting for 12.3s but it just didn't happen. There's always next year, and this time I'll go to US 41 where I know I can hook.

this late in the year gld prolly just isn't bothering to prep much. they were great for me all year for the first year ever. last time out i was 1.51 with my 6 speed every pass there.

Yeah, I had a blast it was my first time in the 12s. My buddy said he saw them spray the track real quick and lightly from the burnout box to the tree when we first got there. I didn't see it, but that was the only time we saw them do anything. With traction and the shift points adjusted so I don't bang the rev limiter I really think I should see 12.3s maybe even a 12.2x I mean my mph is there to possibly hit that. If I can do that I will be very happy.
