if I got beat by a mini pooper 
Well i have a 98 ford f150 v6 5 speed...and its pretty much stock and i ran a 10.5 at kennedale 1/8th mile...and i raced a buddy of mine that runs a 10 flat in his chevy truck on the street and beat him from a 20 punch....and ive raced that kia...and its got some *****...he stayed up with me to 60 and then i pull on him but i was shocked by its performance...so watch out for that kia! 
I started off driving my dad's 1982 Mercedes Benz 300SD when I was 16. Around 120hp from the inline 5 turbo diesel in a >5000# car. I thought it was fast.
Then got to drive my mom's '91 560SEL and knew that it was pretty fast. 240hp in about a 4600# car.
Then I bought my 91 Caprice with the TBI 5L V8. I felt that it was really fast after opening the exhaust. In reality it ran a 16.599 @ 81 with a 2.2 sixty in frozen *** weather. The DA was 1717' below. Usually that car runs very high 16s/low 17s. It's a damn good bracket racer, and I have won trophies with it.
Then I got my 96 SS and after 5 years of modding, it ran a 12.97 last night. First time at the track it ran 15.50s. People still say it's slow...
I have fun racing in the slow cars. I've raced my fiance's 95 Olds Achieva, then her 96 Olds LSS. I've also raced my dad's 2001 496 3/4 ton suburban and my sister's 2002 Trailblazer. All 4 of those are mid 16/low 17 second cars.
Just think of it this way. They get more time on the track for the money
